The eighth “Siemens RoboCup Junior Qualification Tournament” will take place on 9 and 10 March in Berlin’s Urania Complex. 15 Berlin schools have registered, with a total of 285 students participating – organized into 89 teams. The competition will design and program robots to perform certain tasks, such as: stage performance (“OnStage”), tackle an obstacle course (“Rescue”) or Soccer.
The German RoboCup Junior 2019
The final of the German RoboCup Junior Championship will take place in Magdeburg from 3 to 5 May 2019. The World Cup in RoboCup Junior will be held in Sydney, Australia in June 2019.
The RoboCup is the largest international robotics competition and makes an active and sustainable contribution to the advancement of mathematics, artificial intelligence and robotics. In Berlin, the leading project “Roberta-Berlin” of the “eEducation Berlin Master Plan” is being successfully implemented at more and more schools in the city. “Roberta” also promotes girls and young women in technical disciplines and thus represents an important contribution to gender mainstreaming.
