The new and improved Meebot is an educational humanoid that can be programmed to move, dance. Say hello to the 2019 Meebot edition.
MeeBot 2.0 will provide a fun learning experience in the STEM fields and robotics.
Just as before, the robot is controlled by the free JIMU companion app, which helps with construction as well as with motion by offering step-by-step instructions.
The app’s integrated Blocky coding system can be used to set different actions into motion, such as dance moves or for the robot to complete a task.
The Meebot 2.0 is about 30% bigger than the first Meebot model, and has a few additions, including a pair of programmable LED “eyes” and a color sensor,
For now, MeeBot 2.0 is only available in Apple stores, with a price tag of $130.
But don’t worry, if you like JIMU robots and MeeBot 2.0 isn’t for you, the company launched two more educational robot-building kits last week: the Champbot and the Firebot.
