The young student spent her savings of 800 yuan, about $120 on the robot, and trained it to imitate her handwriting. She then made it copy Chinese phrases dozens of times. This common type of assignment requires students to repeatedly write Chinese characters, to help them learn to read and write.
She finished her writing assignment in two days. Her mother, sensing something was off, discovered the robot in her daughter’s room and reportedly smashed the machine.
Several users on social media applauded the teen’s creative idea to quickly finish her assignment, that was given during the Lunar New Year break.
altThough some would consider this ‘cheating’, we think that two valuable lessons can be learned: using tools and saving money.
